People are scrolling through looking for interesting content posted by their friends and family, and then mixed in with those posts are ads placed there by Facebook advertisers. If you think about it like a billboard, you’re essentially bidding on virtual space where your ideal customer is most likely to see it. This is why Facebook is considered disruption advertising, while advertising using Google Pay Per Click is search based advertising. The great thing about Facebook ads is that you can really narrow down your target customer by location, age, gender, and what they’re most interested in.
